World-Class Theme Pavilion Becomes the Highlight of ‘Mahalaxmi Saras 2026

Mumbai: ‘Mahalaxmi Saras 2026’ has emerged as a major attraction this year owing to its grand theme pavilion, stunning décor, and world-class presentation. The exhibition beautifully showcases a unique blend of Maharashtra’s culture, rural life, women empowerment, and modern technology.

This year’s central theme has been dedicated to the bicentenary celebrations of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule. Their immense contribution towards women’s education, social reform, and the spread of education has been presented in a unique and impactful manner. The main entrance, exterior décor, central stage, and various sections of the venue vividly portray the thoughts and legacy of the Phule couple through creative visual presentations.

One of the biggest attractions of this year’s exhibition is the massive 40-metre-long and 7-metre-high three-dimensional LED screen. Developed using advanced visual technology, the screen showcases impactful visuals based on women self-help groups, rural development, the “Lakhpati Didi” initiative, and the cultural heritage of Maharashtra. The immersive visual experience gives visitors the feeling that the visuals are coming alive before them, making it a major crowd-puller. Such a large-scale visual installation is being witnessed for the first time in Maharashtra’s exhibition culture, offering an experience comparable to international exhibitions.

The outer section of the pavilion has also been designed using a unique container-based concept. These containers are symbolic representations of the strong connection between trade, transportation, farmers, and business ecosystems.

The concept highlights the crucial role of logistics and trade networks in connecting rural products to larger markets.
Additionally, the décor prominently features traditional Maharashtrian art forms, Paithani motifs, Nath-inspired designs, and rural handicrafts. The fusion of modern lighting arrangements with traditional aesthetics has added grandeur and vibrancy to the entire venue.
